Cheap Dog Diaper Idea

This is the best way I found to make dog diapers cheap. Whether your dog is in heat or older and has incontinent problems this dog diaper will work for you. These doggie diapers will fit both male and female dogs and will stay on better than the pet diapers you get at the big box pet stores. I went to Petsmart and Petco to buy diapers for my dog and they were over $18.00 for 12, so I came up with this solution by going to Walmart )youcan also get them at Target) and purchasing these Little Swimmer disposable diapers they cost a little more than $6.00 for a quantity of 12 for a 66% savings over Petco. I just cut a hole for the tail and made my own dog diapers. They are a little harder to put on your dog but they stay on much better than the brand I purchased from the pet store which kept falling off.

How to Make Dog Diapers

Step One: Buy some Little Swimmers. You can get them at Walmart or Target I've even come across them at Walgreens and some of the other big chain Pharmacy Stores. I have a small dog she is a 20lb Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the 16-26lb variety work excellent. The Little Swimmers also come in bigger sizes.

Step Two: Look inside your soon to be dog diaper and make sure that the bottom has more padding than the top.

Step Three: Using a pair of scissors cut a hole on top for the tail (the top has less padding than the bottom). Unless you have a sheep dog then you can skip this step...lol

Step Four: Just put your dogs paws through the leg holes and pop the tail through your newly made tail hole and you got the best doggies diapers for 1/3 the cost of the big box pet stores. This is a great cheap diaper alternative for your dog that will actually work better than the brand you buy at the pet store.

This is my dog Roxy wearing her doggie diapers. She wouldn't sit still for a picture so I had to put her on a table. Hope you enjoy and please let me know if this worked for you by leaving a comment. There you have it a cheap way to make dog diapers!
